ON HOW TO AVAIL OF

THE ONLINE COACHING AND MENTORING PROGRAM

1. WHAT IS THE CHANROBLES BAR ONLINE COACHING AND MENTORING PROGRAM?

The ChanRobles Internet Bar Review offers an online coaching and mentoring program to all its online bar reviewees, including new enrollees, re-enrollees, repeaters and undergraduates, for purposes of assisting, coaching and mentoring them in answering essay-type bar examination questions.

2. HOW MUCH IS THE COST OF THIS COACHING AND MENTORING PROGRAM?

This program is being offered completely free of charge to all enrollees. ChanRobles shoulders all costs and expenses involved in this program by way of additional benefit to its enrollees.

3. HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM THE MCQ MOCK BAR EXAMS CURRENTLY BEING OFFERED BY CHANROBLES BAR REVIEW ONLINE?

As distinguished from the on-going MCQ Mock Bar Exams found at http://www.chanroblesbar.com.ph/index.php/mock-bar, where all the questions are in the nature of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), the questions asked in the coaching and mentoring program are all essay-type in nature.

4. WHY ESSAY-TYPE QUESTIONS?

The questions are essay-type to enable the professional coaches and mentors to make a constructive analysis and evaluation of the answers given by the enrollee based on the professionally prepared GUIDELINES ON HOW TO ANSWER ESSAY BAR QUESTIONS under the following major criteria:

5. WHO PREPARED THE ESSAY-TYPE QUESTIONS?

ChanRobles has specifically chosen and commissioned the bar reviewers and former bar examiners who are noted experts in their respective fields, to prepare TWENTY (20) QUESTIONS per bar subject, including the suggested answers to each one of them.

6. DO THE ESSAY-TYPE QUESTIONS COVER THE EIGHT (8) BAR SUBJECTS?

Yes.

7. HOW MANY QUESTIONS ARE THERE PER BAR SUBJECT?

Each of the eight (8) bar subjects has twenty (20) questions to choose from.

8. IS THERE A MAXIMUM NUMBER OF QUESTIONS THAT THE ENROLLEE SHOULD ANSWER AND SUBMIT TO THE COACHING AND MENTORING PROGRAM?

Yes. Each enrollee is entitled to answer and submit only a maximum of EIGHT (8) questions which he/she may choose from among the questions in the eight (8) bar subjects.

The said EIGHT (8) questions may be deliberately chosen from any of the questions presented for any of the bar subjects.

This means that the enrollee is NOT allowed to answer and submit EIGHT (8) questions per bar subject but rather EIGHT (8) questions WITH AT LEAST ONE (1) QUESTION FROM EACH BAR SUBJECT.

Example: One question may be chosen from Political Law, another question from Labor Law, another question from Criminal Law, and so on, for a maximum of EIGHT (8) QUESTIONS.

9. WHY CAN'T THE ENROLLEE CHOOSE MORE THAN EIGHT (8) QUESTIONS TO ANSWER?

The maximum limit is set at EIGHT (8) questions only because the real purpose for the coaching and mentoring is to enable the professional coaches and mentors to analyze and assess compliance of the answers of the enrollee with the Guidelines mentioned above.

It is not the correctness of the answer that is vital; it is compliance with the Guidelines that is sought to be determined by this coaching and mentoring program.

10. CAN THE ENROLLEE TAKE THE EXAMINATION AND SUBMIT HIS/HER ANSWERS MORE THAN ONCE?

NO. The enrollee can only participate in this program and submit his/her answers for evaluation by the coaches and mentors only ONCE.

11. CAN THE ENROLLEE CHOOSE ONLY THE QUESTIONS HE/SHE IS FAMILIAR WITH?

YES. In fact it is encouraged that the enrollee should choose the EIGHT (8) questions that he/she feels he/she could give the best answers to.

It would also be advisable to answer different types of questions, that is, definition-type, enumeration-type, comparative-type or case-type questions, so that his/her ability/inability in answering said varied essay-type questions may be reviewed and assessed by the coaches and mentors.

12. WILL THE COACHES AND MENTORS CRITICIZE THE CORRECTNESS OF THE ANSWER?

NO. The coaches and mentors are professionals trained to determine possible flaws in the manner and method of answering the questions but will never criticize the substance of the answers.

In other words, the comments and suggestions of the coaches and mentors will only be confined to the criteria mentioned in the Guidelines above.

13. WILL THE CORRECT ANSWERS TO THE EIGHT (8) QUESTIONS BE GIVEN?

YES. For purposes of informing the enrollee of the correct answers to the EIGHT (8) questions, the coaches and mentors will attach to their Evaluation Form that will be returned to the enrollee the correct answers as prepared and suggested by the bar reviewers who crafted the questions. The only purpose for doing this is solely informational but never corrective.

The enrollee, therefore, need not be discouraged nor disheartened should his/her answer differ from that of the bar reviewers since this is never the thrust of this coaching and mentoring program.

NO SCORES WILL BE GIVEN AS TO THE CORRECTNESS OF THE ANSWERS.

14. IS CONFIDENTIALITY BEING OBSERVED IN THIS PROGRAM?

YES. Observance of EXTREME CONFIDENTIALITY is the hallmark policy which ChanRobles guarantees to all its enrollees. This is not the first time that this EXTREME CONFIDENTIALITY has been observed by ChanRobles. In its MCQ Mock Bar Exams which run alongside this coaching and mentoring program and has been part of the bar review for the last 4 years, EXTREME CONFIDENTIALITY has been followed and implemented to the letter.

To warrant and guarantee the strict observance of this policy, all our coaches and mentors have signed and executed a NON-DISCLOSURE COMMITMENT AGREEMENT with ChanRobles.

15. WILL THERE BE A FACE-TO-FACE INTERACTION WITH THE COACHES AND MENTORS?

NONE. All aspects of the coaching and mentoring program will NOT require a face-to-face interaction with the coaches and mentors. This will free the enrollee of any inhibitions, self-consciousness, hang-ups and reservations that may discourage him/her from presenting his/her answers, no matter what.

In like manner, the coaches and mentors will have the freedom to present their comments and suggestions unhampered and unencumbered by any biases and partiality, whether perceived or otherwise.

16. WHERE CAN THE ONLINE COACHING AND MENTORING PROGRAM BE ACCESSED?

Access to the coaching and mentoring program can be made through a separate webpage, the link of which is provided to all enrollees in the notification email to be sent to them.

17. WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED IN ACCESSING THE ONLINE COACHING AND MENTORING PROGRAM?

The following are the procedures:

(A) OFFICIAL EMAIL NOTIFICATION

All reviewees shall receive an OFFICIAL EMAIL NOTIFICATION from the ChanRobles Bar Review Director, ATTY. LEA MARIE SUMANGA PICAR, regarding the start of the online coaching and mentoring program and the link where the same may be accessed and transmitting the following:

1) A copy of this GUIDELINES ON HOW TO AVAIL OF THE ONLINE COACHING AND MENTORING PROGRAM;

2) A copy of the GUIDELINES ON HOW TO ANSWER ESSAY BAR QUESTIONS; and

3) A copy of the ANSWER SHEET.

This NOTIFICATION EMAIL will be sent to the same email address submitted by the enrollee when he/she enrolled in ChanRobles Bar Review.

For purposes of submitting his/her answers, the enrollee should use the email containing this NOTIFICATION and no other. This means that only the answers submitted through the EMAIL NOTIFICATION (OFFICIAL E-MAIL ADDRESS) shall be reviewed and assessed by the coaches and mentors.

(B) HOW TO PRESENT YOUR ANSWERS

On the Answer Sheet:

First, indicate the Bar Subject and the particular Question Number you are answering;

Second, answer the question in your handwriting, in accordance with the GUIDELINES ON HOW TO ANSWER ESSAY BAR QUESTIONS;

On scanning or photographing your Answer Sheet:

Third, after answering the maximum of EIGHT (8) questions (One [1] each per bar subject), SCAN or take a photo of your Answer Sheet containing the answers. Each Answer should be scanned or photographed separately as follows:

Fourth, attach the scanned copy or photo of your Answer Sheet to your reply to the NOTIFICATION EMAIL mentioned above.

(C) COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS OF COACHES AND MENTORS WILL BE SENT BACK TO THE ENROLLEE.

The returned Answer Sheet shall include the suggested answers to the chosen questions prepared by the Bar Reviewers.

18. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS.

All the Mock Essay Bar Questions and the corresponding Suggested Answers for all the eight (8) bar subjects are the intellectual property of ChanRobles and NO ONE is allowed to DOWNLOAD, PHOTOGRAPH, SCAN, PRINT or SAVE the same. Since our bar review course is internet-based, downloading/scanning/photographing/printing/saving of any of our Mock Essay Bar Questions and Suggested Answers is ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED. They could only be accessed online. Our system automatically detects unauthorized downloading/scanning/ photographing/printing/saving which may result in the PERMANENT BLOCKING of the online enrollees' access to all of our internet resources.
